... Example one,.. with minor modifications.
1) Please lower the N to align with the rest of the word Horizon, while keeping the H higher.  As is, the "orizo" jumps out and makes the Horizon look like it's spelled incorrectly (even though it isn't).
2) With the N aligned with "orizo", please stretch out (or make a bit larger) the sun so it's over the N as well.
3) Please fill in the sun so the logo has more color - perhaps we could use the effect in the colored Takeda logo since that logo will be going away?

With the Takeda logo as prominant as it is on the design of the header, I am trying to match the serif font or move away from it completly. Click on each logo to see a mock-up of the page. NOTE: The resolution may be less than perfect because of download compression for the demo images. (Colors will be optimized for final)

Version 1
Sunrise over a mound. Representing the dawn of a new day. The colors will play into the cool greens of the photo imagry.

The name Horizon is places in a traditional serif style font, complimented by the contemporary casual lines of the logo mark.

Version 2 Sunrise replacing the lunar phase. The curved horizon line. The font is sanserif, but bold to create an visual anchor for the horizon line to rest upon.

Version 3
Topography complimeting eastern value with the caligrophy of the "i". The "i" is an abstract of the Kanji Charector for person.

hito - person

The "i" can also be interpreted as
a plant sprout, giving it an oganic reference.
